Nokia itself is licensing its brand and intellectual property to a recently fashioned company known as HMD world that aims to manufacture and sell a portfolio of golem smartphones and tablets. HMD has agreed to a conditional deal with Microsoft to use the Nokia brand on feature phones and a few different deals associated with style.
This deal is supposed to be completed by the top of June.
HMD Global and the aforesaid FIH Mobile have already got a deal in situ that aims “to support the building of a world business for Nokia-branded mobile phones and tablets.” Foxconn (FIH parent) partnered with Nokia to release the Nokia N1 pill earlier and the new HMD venture looks to be a systematization of their relationship.
Looking forward
HMD Global can have Nokia in its board of administrators and Nokia can “set obligatory whole necessities and performance connected provisions.” The new company will have the producing experience of Foxconn in the variety of FIH Mobile and therefore the style acumen of Nokia.
